Stations and Activities

 

1. Messy Play Station

Activities: Frozen jelly dig, soap foam with toys, biscuit decorating.

Materials: Jelly, toys, soap foam, trays, biscuits, icing pens, choc drops, strawberry

laces, plates, baby wipes, aprons.

 

2. Sensory Exploration Station

Activities: Autumn nature box show & tell, sensory trays with rice/beans/pasta.

Materials: Nature items, trays, rice/beans/pasta, cups, scoops, hidden toys.

 

3. Creative Craft Station

Activities: Brown bag art, twig table crafts, playdough and finger painting.

Materials: Bags, leaves, glue, wooden shapes, twigs, paints, playdough, paper.

 

4. Jewellery and Beading Station

Activities: Pasta necklaces/bracelets, diamond art snap bracelets.

Materials: Pasta, beads, string/elastic, diamond art kits.

 

5. Writing and Story Station

Activities: Explore sensory box, writing/drawing about autumn.

Materials: Sensory box, pens, paper, crayons, stickers, envelopes.

 

6. Water Painting Station

Activities: Magic water painting, bubble art prints.

Materials: Brushes, large paper sheets, cups, card, bubble mix, food dye.

 

7. Glitter Bottle Station

Activities: Calm-down bottles.

Materials: Bottles, glitter, food dye, oil, funnels.

 

8. Gardening Station

Activities: Decorate pots, plant seeds, twig markers with wooden cutouts.

Materials: Pots, soil, seeds, markers/paint, twigs, wooden shapes, glue.

 

Tips for Staff

​

• 1 family per table (children can move around but adults stay with their family group).

• Aprons/old shirts for messy play.

• Drying area for wet artwork.

• Take-home items: pots, necklaces, glitter bottles, crafts, biscuits. brown paper bags.

• Flexibility – let children choose; provide gentle guidance.

• Go with the flow – spot distractions early and step in with support.

• Have the best time ever!!!!!
